THOM TILLIS HEARS HIS MASTER'S VOICE. TORPEDOING TRUMP APPOINTMENT

MITCH MCCONNELL BFF AND ALL AROUND ANTI TRUMPER, THOM TILLIS. F'S THE PEOPLE, AGAIN

It woould have been nice to open this article by stating that Thom Tillis was betraying the MAGA movement, Trump and/or the Republican party, but it just ain't so.

So, no one should have been surprised when, at this late date, Tillis has stated that he will NOT vote for Trump's candidate to become the District of Columbia Prosecutor. What makes it all the more problematic is that if the Committee, on which Tillis lurks, does not come up with a candidate by May 20, then the activist Judge Boasberg (you are aware of some his more recent work in trying to derail the illegal immigrant deportations) will be able to pick the interim prosecutor until such time as the Committee can come up with a suitable candidate. A candidate, that we feel will through collusion of certain monopartyists, be a long time in the making.

Read the following profile, judge the conditions and perils that can accompany this man and his "principled" voting and you decide.

Profile: Thom Tillis – The McConnell-Aligned RINO Standing in the Way of MAGA

Full Name: Thomas Roland Tillis

Party Affiliation: Republican

State: North Carolina

Senate Since: 2015

Political Alignment: Establishment Republican / McConnell Ally

MAGA Score: ❌ Low Trust Rating

🧱 Overview

Senator Thom Tillis has emerged as one of the most consistent thorns in the side of the America First movement, increasingly aligning himself with globalist donors, corporate interests, and institutional Republicans who view the populist energy of Trump’s base as a threat rather than a mandate. While he presents himself as a “principled conservative,” his voting record, affiliations, and recent moves reveal a senator more loyal to Mitch McConnell than to the voters of North Carolina or the populist direction of the Republican Party.

🚫 Anti-Trump and Anti-MAGA Actions

  1. Opposition to Trump’s Pick for DC Prosecutor (2025)Tillis publicly broke with President Trump by refusing to support Ed Martin, the nominee for U.S. Attorney for D.C.—a key appointment that would directly influence prosecutions tied to January 6.

    • Tillis’ Justification: “I have no tolerance for anyone who entered the building on Jan. 6.”

    • Translation: He’s willing to hand control over to a Biden-era activist prosecutor rather than support a Trump-aligned candidate. This deference will likely empower partisan legal targeting of MAGA allies in the capital.

  2. Gun Control Betrayal (2022)Co-authored and supported the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, working with Democrat Senator Chris Murphy to pass federal gun legislation that many Second Amendment advocates deemed unconstitutional and a betrayal of core conservative principles.

  3. Same-Sex Marriage Vote (2022)Voted in favor of the Respect for Marriage Act, effectively codifying federal protections for same-sex marriage and undermining religious liberty protections, despite conservative outcry.

  4. Immigration Deals with DemocratsWorked on a lame-duck amnesty framework with Democrat Kyrsten Sinema to legalize DACA recipients without adequate border security enforcement.

    • Critics saw this as a reward for illegal immigration and a move against Trump's border security legacy.

  5. Support for McConnell’s LeadershipTillis has been a reliable McConnell ally, backing his leadership and siding with him against Trump-aligned Senators like Josh Hawley, JD Vance, and Mike Lee.

💼 Deep Pocket Ties

Tillis’ campaign war chest has been consistently filled by:

  • Wall Street and Securities Firms

  • Pharmaceutical and Health Product Corporations

  • Real Estate PACs and corporate lobbyists

  • Karl Rove–linked dark money (e.g., Crossroads GPS)

These donors are not aligned with the populist, nationalist, working-class base of the MAGA movement. His financial backers prefer globalism, open markets, and "business as usual" Washington politics.

🧩 The McConnell Connection

  • Appointed to Senate Republican leadership by Mitch McConnell in 2023

  • Played a role in efforts to push bipartisan "moderation" across the aisle—part of the GOP's internal effort to dilute MAGA influence

  • Sided with McConnell in key procedural and spending battles, often blocking efforts to shut down wasteful spending or push back against Biden nominees

📉 A Liability for North Carolina

  • Censured by the North Carolina GOP in 2023 over his betrayal on gun control and same-sex marriage

  • Faces Primary Challenges in 2026 from pro-Trump Republicans and conservative outsiders

  • Despite a strong fundraising machine, Tillis' base of support is increasingly limited to big donors and Beltway insiders

🔚 Conclusion

Senator Thom Tillis is the archetype of the Washington RINO—a polished, donor-funded operator who cloaks his sabotage of the MAGA agenda in "principled conservatism." His vote to oppose Trump’s DC prosecutor nominee—effectively giving an activist Democrat judge the power to continue targeting political dissidents—is just the latest betrayal in a long list of sellouts.

For MAGA voters, Tillis is not just a disappointment—he is a barrier to restoring an America First government.North Carolina deserves better than a senator who votes like Susan Collins but fundraises like Lindsey Graham.

IMPORTANCE OF THE APPOINTMENT FOR DC PROSECUTOR

If the Senate does not confirm President Trump's nominee, Ed Martin, as U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia by the expiration of his interim term on May 20, 2025, the responsibility to appoint an interim U.S. Attorney may fall to the judges of the U.S. District Court for D.C., led by Chief Judge James Boasberg Fox News.

Senator Thom Tillis has publicly opposed Martin's nomination, citing concerns over Martin's defense of individuals involved in the January 6 Capitol riot New York Post. Tillis's opposition is significant because, as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, his vote is crucial for advancing the nomination Axios.

Should the Senate fail to confirm a nominee before the interim term expires, the court's appointment of an interim U.S. Attorney could influence the direction of prosecutions in the District of Columbia. The appointed individual would serve until a permanent U.S. Attorney is confirmed by the Senate X (formerly Twitter).

This scenario underscores the importance of timely confirmations for key judicial appointments and the potential implications of delays or opposition within the Senate.

AN INTERIM "ACTIVIST" PROSECUTOR, A MEASURE OF HARM TO THE ADMINISTRATION

An interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, appointed by the D.C. District Court under Chief Judge James Boasberg, could seriously disrupt or stall Trump administration policies, particularly in politically sensitive or prosecutorial matters. Here’s how and why:

⚖️ Legal Authority of the D.C. U.S. Attorney

The U.S. Attorney for D.C. holds unique prosecutorial power due to the district's jurisdiction:

  • Federal + local prosecutions: Unlike other districts, this office handles both federal and D.C. criminal cases, making it more powerful.

  • Jurisdiction over federal agencies and personnel: Since D.C. houses most of the federal bureaucracy, the U.S. Attorney there can investigate or decline to investigate a wide swath of federal actors.

  • High-profile political prosecutions: January 6 cases, Trump associates, congressional subpoenas, and administrative enforcement cases (e.g., contempt of Congress, obstruction) are often routed through this office.

🧨 What Damage Can Be Done

1. Selective Prosecution or Protection

A Boasberg-aligned interim appointee could:

  • Continue or expand investigations into Trump allies or January 6 defendants

  • Decline to prosecute left-wing or anti-Trump actors who obstruct federal proceedings (e.g., leakers, document hoarders, protesters targeting federal agencies)

2. Slow-Walking Trump’s Legal Directives

If DOJ under Trump directs action against entrenched bureaucracy, this appointee can:

  • Refuse or delay indictments

  • Suppress evidence or stall grand juries

  • Leak internal deliberations to media for narrative warfare

3. Weaponization of Contempt and Subpoena Powers

  • The office could go after conservative media, whistleblowers, or congressional allies of Trump (e.g., Jim Jordan, Comer) under claims of obstruction or document refusal.

4. Shielding Deep State Bureaucrats

  • Federal workers defying Trump policies (e.g., rogue DHS officials, intel leakers) could be immunized from prosecution, emboldening administrative resistance.

5. Narrative Engineering via Prosecution Choices

  • Just as Mueller’s team shaped public discourse, this office could drive headlines with targeted subpoenas or symbolic indictments, even if they don’t result in convictions.

👤 About Judge James Boasberg

  • Former Presiding Judge of the FISA Court (which approved multiple surveillance warrants on Trump aides)

  • Known ally of institutional DOJ, tied to liberal interpretations of executive accountability

  • Obama appointee, frequently sides with administrative and security agencies over executive reform efforts

🧭 Strategic Implications for MAGA

If Sen. Thom Tillis and other McConnell-aligned Republicans continue to block confirmation of Trump’s nominee, they are effectively handing over the most politically consequential prosecutorial office in America to a court with hostile ideological leanings.

This would:

  • Undermine executive power in real time

  • Signal to the bureaucracy that resistance will be protected

  • Damage Trump’s credibility in enforcing law and order
