Under the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), USAID funding to major NGOs — including Catholic Relief Services — has been frozen or slashed. Catholic Relief Services alone had previously received over $500 million annually, making it one of the largest single recipients of American foreign aid.
